Dutch Treat

I got to visit Holland in April. First time. The cycling lifestyle, tulips, and (especially) the art captured me. We crammed as much as we could into our 8 days during prime spring-flowering bulb time.

My son, husband and I spent an afternoon at the incredible Rijksmuseum. Egad. This gem is a serious source of images for Rose+Gaia's leggings, tanks and phone cases. Like the Metropolitan, the Getty, and so many forward-thinking institutions, the Rijksmuseum offers "open access" to a good chunk of its collection. (If you're feeling creative please visit their RijksStudio portal, where you are encouraged to download high-quality image files for use in making your own...anything.)

Have you been to the Netherlands? We visited Delft, Amsterdam, Rotterdam. Missed The Hague, Leiden, Haarlem. I can't wait to go back. Suggestions for an art and flower lover?
